Group of Hikers Walking Along a Scenic Forest Trail During Sunset in Autumn

Outdoor Social Walking Group

Just people meeting outside, going for a walk, and building quiet, powerful community. No pressure. Just presence.

Families that have disabled kids often face isolation—not because they don’t want to connect, but because traditional social spaces can be overwhelming, unpredictable, or just not inclusive. The Oscars100 Social Walking group removes these pressures. There’s no schedule to follow, no activities to master—just movement, nature, and presence.

Research is showing what we've always know - being outside improves mental health, emotional regulation, and physical wellbeing. For autistic individuals, it can reduce sensory overload, while offering calming, open space. For families, it creates shared moments without distractions.

The Outdoor Social Walking Group isn’t just about the child with autism. It’s about their siblings, their parents and their carers—the whole support system. These walks are a space where:

  • Siblings can run or dawdle without expectations.

  • Parents canchat (or walk in silence) alongside others who understand.

  • Autistic individuals can just be—no goals, no assessments.

Everyone shows up exactly as they are.

Most social programs are either child-only, highly structured, or child-free. This walking group is different:

Low-stim, no-fuss, and naturally inclusive.
No registration stress, no intake forms, no eligibility criteria.
Just show up when you can and walk beside people who get it.

Sometimes connection starts quietly. A nod. A shared pace. A kid collecting sticks beside another kid collecting rocks. These tiny moments build trust, create friendships, and slowly stitch together a stronger, more supported community.
