Learn To Ride

Confidence on two wheels - at their own pace

Launching soon, the Learn to Ride program helps autistic kids (and their family) gain independence and confidence on bikes—with no pressure, and heaps of support. Oscars100 Learn To Ride program runs over 6 weeks in 30 minute sessions and has been created to build confidence and resilience when learning to ride.

What to Expect

✨ Access to balance and pedal bikes suitable for young children to adults.

✨ Amazing volunteers who will help teach you the basics of bike riding in a safe and supporting environment

✨ Gentle Step-By-Step instruction

✨ A fun location with great, easy to ride, open bike paths.

✨Safety gear, such as a helmet, bike gloves, knee and elbow pads but you are welcome to bring you own as long as it meets Australian Safety Standards.

Why it Matters

Learning to ride is a rite of passage—and we want every child to feel that joy. With the right support, they can. Riding can be a fun and rewarding activity, offering a way to exercise, explore your surroundings, and connect with others. Learning to ride can help to foster independence, improve gross motors skills, boost self-confidence and promote greater social interaction. Riding is a really fun way to exercise that may help reduce anxiety and the Oscars100 Learn To Ride program is another great way to bring the family units closer together through shared experience.
